Turtle Beach Reveals the Stealth Ultra II, its New Flagship Controller for Xbox and PC

Ever fancied a giant touch screen on your controller?

Turtle Beach has revealed the Stealth Ultra II, its new flagship wireless controller for Xbox and PC that goes head to head with the likes of the Nacon Revolution X Unlimited. It’s officially licensed by Xbox, carries a touchscreen for adjusting settings on the fly, and is available to pre-order now ahead of its launch on 12 November.

Dominating the front of the Stealth Ultra II is the Connected Command touchscreen, letting you change button mapping, stick response, dead zones, trigger settings and lighting without stopping to open an app. It can store up to three onboard profiles, and the Swarm II app for Xbox and PC handles deeper customisation and firmware updates.

The thumbsticks use TMR sensors to resist drift, rather than Hall Effect, and Turtle Beach’s GateShift feature lets you flip between three stick profiles with a physical switch. Each profile can be set with a circular, octagonal or square gate and a choice of response curves. Elsewhere, there are microswitch buttons, three-stage trigger stops, four mappable back buttons and a Pro-Aim mode that temporarily lowers stick sensitivity for long-range shots.

The Stealth Ultra II connects to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PCs over 2.4GHz wireless or a cable, while Bluetooth covers PCs, Android devices and smart TVs. Polling reaches up to 8kHz wired and 1kHz wireless on PC and if you plug a headset into the 3.5mm jack you also get Turtle Beach’s audio tuning features, including Superhuman Hearing and game and chat mix, adjustable from the touchscreen.

Turtle Beach quotes up to 12 hours of battery life as standard, rising to 34 hours with its Eco power modes. A low-profile charge dock comes in the box, and it doubles as a passthrough for the wireless dongle so you only use one USB port. There’s also a hard-shell carrying case that can charge the controller while it’s stored.

The Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra II arrives at £179.99, $199.99 or €199.99, and is available to pre-order now from Turtle Beach and participating retailers ahead of its 12 November launch.
