Rather than adding another gadget like a Stream Deck to your desk, Arctic Fox Technologies has rebuilt the mouse itself as a control hub. The Super Mouse display switches between five modes: a control panel holding up to 16 shortcuts, macros and app launchers on the home screen, a multi-touch trackpad, a digital keyboard with swipe typing, brightness and volume sliders, and a calendar view that syncs with Google Calendar. The layout changes automatically depending on the app in use, so Photoshop users get different controls from someone in a spreadsheet. The screen dims when your hand leaves the mouse, and a button on top turns it off entirely if you only want a mouse.
Two physical Hyper Keys sit beside the scroll wheel and can trigger any shortcut, macro or multi-step workflow, defaulting to Alt and Tab. Gyro control lets you tilt or move the mouse to advance slides or scrub through media, and a feature called Rapid Tasks captures multi-step actions, such as opening an app, silencing notifications and starting a timer, so they can be fired with one press. Onboard microphones handle voice-to-text, which Arctic Fox Technologies says is processed locally on the device and in its desktop software, with nothing uploaded to a server.
Everything is configured through the Flow desktop app for Windows and macOS, where there’s no limit on how many apps can have shortcuts, and macros can be assigned to apps Flow doesn’t already recognise. Multiple user profiles let people sharing a Super Mouse keep their own settings, and there are also focus timers, usage tracking and a one-action system lock.
Super Mouse is wired only, connecting and drawing its 5V power over USB Type-C, and cuts a pretty square frame measuring 109 x 91 x 29 mm. It’s just 95 grams, and comes in Devine Yellow, Cloud White and Drone Gray.
