The Rematch Wireless PC Controller uses TMR thumbsticks, which sense movement without physical contact between components, so they resist drift and should last longer. It’s considered by most to be a step up from Hall effect sensors and until now it’s been the hallmark of a premium offering. Here, for less than £50 they sit below Hall-effect hair triggers with three adjustable stops, letting you set anything from a short competitive press to full travel.
Polling reaches up to 1,000Hz when wired or on 2.4GHz wireless with audio off, dropping to 500Hz when audio is enabled. Battery life is up to 20 hours without audio, or 10 hours with it on. Connectivity covers 2.4GHz wireless, wired and Bluetooth, and all three modes work with Steam Deck and Steam Machine. Built-in XInput and Microsoft’s Game Input Protocol support means it’s recognised automatically on Steam, Windows and PC Game Pass with no extra drivers.
Onboard controls handle volume, audio mute and mic mute, and a 3.5mm jack takes any wired headset. There are also two mappable back buttons, three onboard profiles for Standard, Competitive and Sport, customisable RGB lighting, and the Swarm II app on PC for remapping.
The Rematch Wireless PC Controller costs $59.99, €49.99 or £49.99 and is on sale now at turtlebeach.com and participating retailers. It launches alongside the £89.99 Stealth Flip Wireless Controller, which adds flip-over touchpads.
