We recently tested the Logitech G Astro A50X, the brand’s showpiece £360 multi-platform behemoth with all the bells and whistles. The new G325 sits at the opposite end of that spectrum entirely, but Logitech claims it hasn’t skimped on the fundamentals to make it happen.
The headline feature is LIGHTSPEED wireless technology, the same low-latency 2.4GHz connection found in Logitech’s pricier headsets. You’re getting the USB dongle experience with the G325, not just Bluetooth, which should mean competitive gaming remains viable. Bluetooth is still included of course, via Bluetooth 5.2, which allows the G325 to pull double duty with mobile devices and enables quick switching between platforms.
The G325 offers 24-bit audio, which Logitech promises will deliver “rich, detailed sound” across games and media, and the integrated beamforming microphone supports AI-powered noise reduction through Logitech G HUB on PC or the mobile companion app. It’s an interesting move to abandon the boom-style mic that’s become a staple of the genre, though it makes for a far sleeker look as a result. We’ve felt Logitech has really nailed the raw quality of its headset mics in recent times, the A50 X had one of the best we’d tested, so here’s hoping this new approach doesn’t make too many sacrifices in the name of simplicity.
“We want all gamers to have premium experiences, that’s why we packed so much into the new G325 headset. It’s got a super comfortable design, long battery life, great audio, and works across PC, console, and mobile. It’s designed for gamers who love to play across a variety of platforms.”
– Ujesh Desai, General Manager of Logitech G.
Weighing in at 212g, the Logitech G325 should be comfortable enough for extended sessions, and Logitech claims over 24 hours of battery life from a single charge. That’s comfortably into “gaming weekend” territory without needing to reach for a cable. The headset launches in three colourways – lilac, black, and white – with a cleaner, more minimalist aesthetic than some of Logitech’s more aggressive gaming designs.
The Logitech G325 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset is available now for £69.99 from Logitech or exclusively from Argos in the UK.
