Swann’s MaxRanger4K system has been quietly building into a proper little ecosystem, and the new additions shown by the Australian brand at CES 2026 fill in some useful gaps. The star of the show is the MaxRanger4K MaxTrak, a pan-and-tilt camera that uses AI to automatically track people, vehicles, and movement across your property. It’s solar-powered too, so no climbing ladders to swap batteries and no blackouts while you’re away on holiday and need it most.
The range on these cameras is and has always been the real selling point. Swann uses Wi-Fi HaLow technology across the MaxRanger4K line, which it claims offers significantly better wall and ceiling penetration than standard Wi-Fi. Particularly handy for reaching outbuildings or the far corners of a larger property. All cameras connect through a single base station, and the different models can be mixed and matched depending on what you need. There’s also a MaxRanger4K Solar two-camera kit which adds the solar benefits but drops the tracking features.
On the practical side, all MaxRanger4K cameras capture 4K footage with night vision and AI-powered alerts for people, vehicles, heat, and motion. Setup is handled through QR codes in the Swann Security app, and everything arrives pre-paired. Storage lives on an included 64GB MicroSD card holding up to six months of footage with no cloud subscription required and you can always swap out that SD for more storage if needed.
Pricing and regional availability for the new models haven’t been confirmed yet.
