That’s not all either, the update also delivers submicron precision. Now, admittedly very few players will ever run a mouse anywhere near 44,000 DPI, so the more practical change for most people is independent X and Y sensitivity. Being able to set horizontal and vertical movement separately is useful for players running stretched resolutions, and for anyone who simply prefers a different feel on each axis.
The update is available to existing owners through G HUB at no extra cost and update covers the G502 X PLUS and G502 X LIGHTSPEED.
Logitech has also announced two new colourways for the G502 X PLUS, White/Mint and Black/Purple, that mirror the schemes we’ve seen applied to recent releases like the G325 and G512 X 98. They arrive alongside a busy line-up of launches at PLAY 2026, including the new PRO X3 SUPERSTRIKE, the Yeti 2 microphone and new modular sim racing hardware.
